Option to silence notifications for event timeline messages

When someone posts a message on an event’s timeline, every invitee gets a notification. There’s currently no way to post without notifying the whole audience, and no event-level setting to control this. Use case
An event is created to celebrate something, like a work anniversary, a milestone, or a farewell. The idea is that colleagues congratulate / message each other in the event timeline. When the whole company is in the audience, every reaction or comment sends a notification to everyone. A celebration event with 20 comments means 20 notifications for the entire organisation, which makes the feature feel spammy and discourages people from using it for this purpose. Current behavior * Every timeline message triggers a notification to all invitees. * No setting exists to turn this off, either per message or per event. Desired behavior
Add an event-level setting, e.g. “Silence event timeline” (on/off). When on, timeline messages don’t send notifications to invitees. The timeline stays visible and usable for people who open the event. Impact * Makes events with large audiences usable for celebrations and social interaction. * Reduces notification fatigue, which can otherwise lead to people turning off notifications altogether.
